While portraits, landscapes, and wildlife art are his specialties, Gerald enjoys exploring many mediums when involved with your abstract ideas and projects. Following your own colors, size requirements, photographs, or designs, Mr. Roberts will produce a piece of art you will be proud to own and display. Gerald includes the fine art of hand lettering and sign making in his extensive portfolio. In addition, antique cars, boats, motorcycles, vans, and trucks, as well as storefronts and banners are a welcome challenge to him. Realistic images are often needed to fulfill the customer's own expressions and desires, as well as the originality of a hand painted and hand detailed vehicle or sign. No "store bought" or "computer generated" graphics are used to create your individual artwork. This Pittsburgh, PA native began his artistic journey when he was eight years old, with his first scholarship to attend the Carnegie Institute Tam O'Shanter art classes. Upon completion at fourteen, Roberts moved on to attend the pre-college programs at both Carnegie Mellon University and the Philadelphia College of Art. Upon his high school graduation, Gerald received another scholarship to the Columbus College of Art and Design, where he received his BFA. Currently he lives in Kent, Ohio where he maintains his own studio. This long time artist is now accepting commissions for paintings, drawings, watercolors, charcoal portraits and much more! Interior designers, decorators, and "do it yourselfers" may now order artwork by size, color, and design to fit their specific needs. Gerald W.
